3 Day Quote Challenge – Day 1

“We make our lives so heavy, we have these incredibly heady burdens we carry like rocks in a bag, we don’t realise the lightness of just letting it go. It’s not an external change, it’s an internal change, it’s a change from holding on very tightly to holding on very lightly.”

Hello to all of the kind souls who may be reading this! I want to start this off by saying a HUGE Thank you to Discovering Your Happiness and In my shoes… for nominating me for the 3 Day Quote Challenge because as you have possibly guessed I’m a little quote crazy.

  1. Thank the person who nominated you.
  2. Post a quote for three consecutive days (1 quote for each day).
  3. Share why this quote appeals so much to you.
  4. Nominate 3 different bloggers for each day.

When I first stumbled across this quote I was in a very negative headspace. I had years of negative memories stored in my mind that consumed my every thought and fuelled me with anger. When I read this quote it was a bit of a reality check, why was I holding onto these memories that made me depressed and angry? It didn’t happen over night but I did start to let go of those heavy memories and even now if something is feeling too heavy I release my grip and enjoy the lightness of just letting go.

My Nominees:

I can’t wait to see what quotes I read through out this process, I’ll be sure to add them into my journal 😊

Thanks for reading ✌🏻💛

  1. This is so timely. I’m really feeling this right now.

  2. Natalie 😍

This is such a beautiful quote, I love it, I’m going to add this into my bag of loved quotes.

I can most certainly admit I do this A LOT.
I hold onto things that I should’ve let go A LONG TIME AGO!
This quote reminds me the more negative (rocks) you carry the more you (bag) are being weighed down.

    I love this 💘

    I can’t wait to see Day 2 + 3.

  3. This is a lovely challenge!! And that quote lit up my morning 🌟
