Just over 10 years ago I was lying in bed desperate for some help, feeling lost and on a downward spiral. I never thought I would reach the point of calling a helpline to get some support for how I was feeling but I am so glad I did as the lady on the other end of the phone gave me some valuable advice that got me to where I am today.
During my journey of healing I read books upon books about self-help and picked up some fantastic practices, but it was time-consuming and when you’re desperate for some help you don’t always have time to read a 300 page book to only pick up a couple of bits of advice. I then started surfing the web to find some simple but powerful tips that I could use daily to help me get out of my rut and although I found some great content it took a lot of different google searches to get there.
So here I am today a much wiser and mentally healthier version of myself and I want to give back my learning’s from the past 10 years in a simple easy to read way. I’m always looking for ways to share some positivity with the people around me, no matter if I spend 5 minutes or a lifetime around them. I also want to show my children that practising gratitude, showing compassion and helping others is just as important in life as using manners, getting an education and working.
